Cannabis Grow Light Projects: Proven in Licensed Facilities

Sealed indoor rooms are a pure engineering problem: deliver uniform PPFD across every square meter, at the highest possible efficacy, with heat and controls under command. SLTMAKS cannabis grow light series is built exactly for this, from 240W veg bays to 1600W large-bay flowering rooms. Engineered for Results. Proven in the Field. Transparency is our strongest proof: documented data from commercial facilities and real-world results from cultivators across North America.

A controlled trial ahead of the full facility retrofit

OverviewIn early 2026, Green**** LLC, a commercial cultivator in the United States, sought to upgrade their lighting infrastructure to maximize flowering density and ultimate yield. To verify performance before a full-scale facility retrofit, the client conducted a controlled trial in a 1,000 sq ft flower room, deploying 32 units of the Golden 1300W LED grow light.

FixtureGolden 1300W dual-channel, UV / IR independently controlled, PPE 3.3 μmol/J
Layout32 fixtures in a 1,000 sq ft flowering room
Result230 lbs (~104.3 kg) final yield

SolutionThe Golden 1300W was selected for its elite heavy-duty performance. Replacing the old fixtures with this high-power matrix unlocked the crop's full genetic potential, and the dual-channel design let the grower run UV and IR separately through late flowering, restimulating production during the finish phase.

Referred by a neighboring farm

OverviewAfter witnessing exceptional harvest results at a friend's farm, an Oklahoma City cultivator contacted us via referral to replicate that success. For their 1,200 sq ft room, the client deployed 38 units of our standard 4×6 ft 1000W LED grow lights. Combining our premium hardware with the client's elite cultivation expertise, they achieved a spectacular milestone: an average yield of 6.2 lbs per light.

Result235 lbs (~106.6 kg) final yield, an average of 6.2 lbs per light

SolutionThe standard 4×6 ft 1000W was chosen for its proven commercial reliability, and DLC certification let the client apply for local utility rebates to offset up-front costs. Impressed by the output of this trial, the client has already reinvested, upgrading their next cultivation room with the flagship Golden 1300W series.

Case 03 runs top and under-canopy fixtures in the same rooms, so its per-fixture efficacy and per-light yield are not directly comparable with the single-format rooms.

Common questions

Cannabis Grow Light Project FAQ

What yield per light did these projects actually reach?

230 lbs from 32 × Golden 1300W in a 1,000 sq ft room, and 235 lbs from 38 × 4×6 ft 1000W in 1,200 sq ft. That works out to 7.2 lbs and 6.2 lbs per light, both at roughly 31 sq ft per fixture, which is the figure to compare against your own layout. Yield per light then moves with veg time, cultivar, CO₂ and how evenly the canopy is lit, so read these as documented outcomes in these two rooms at this density rather than a guarantee for a third.

Are these yield figures dry weight?

Yes, both are dried, trimmed flower from each room, not wet weight at harvest. Wet weight runs several times heavier because most of it is water, which is why the two are never comparable.

Why report pounds per light instead of grams per watt?

They measure different things. Fixture PPE in µmol/J describes the hardware, while pounds per light describes what one fixture position returned in a real room. Because yield per light also depends on plant density, veg time, cultivar and CO₂, we publish room size and fixture count alongside every figure so you can normalise it.

Is higher PPE the reason one project out-yielded the other?

Only partly, and often it is the smaller part. Case 01 runs at 3.3 µmol/J and Case 02 at 2.9, yet they returned 7.2 lbs and 6.2 lbs per light. Once a fixture delivers its light, the room decides the rest: the PPFD actually reaching the canopy, the environment around it, and above all the grower’s own technique. We have customers running these same models who harvest noticeably less, for reasons that have nothing to do with the fixture. So treat PPE as the hardware number rather than the outcome. If you want help closing that gap, we can go through your room with you and tell you what we have seen work across these projects.

Can I trial one room before retrofitting the whole facility?

Yes. That is exactly how Case 01 started: the grower lit one 1,000 sq ft flower room with 32 units of the Golden 1300W, ran it for a full cycle to verify the numbers, and then rolled the same fixtures out across all ten of their rooms. We size a trial room the same way we size a full build, against your rooms rather than from a fixed kit, and we can help you choose the room and read the results.

Do you only work with large commercial facilities?

Our main business is OEM and ODM for grow light brands, and alongside that we work with commercial cultivation projects. Smaller grows are welcome, they are simply not where our focus is. The fixtures, the specification work and the after-sales support are the same at any scale. We also work with partners in many countries, so if you are a smaller grower and would rather buy locally than import, ask us and we will introduce you to the partner closest to you.
