A standard under-canopy bar lights one plane: the canopy directly below. The 3-sided model emits from three faces of the bar, downward and out along both flanks, so row sides and neighbouring plants get light without a second fixture. Slim bars mount below the canopy and shine upward into the bud sites your top lights can't reach, in 4Ft and 8Ft builds on the same 0–10V / RJ12 platform as the whole range.

Aisles are where straight-down bars stop working. The 3-sided model treats the bar as a line source in three directions, which maps far better onto real cannabis rows than a single downward plane.
| Why choose the 3-Sided Illumination Series | |
|---|---|
| ↔️ Row sides stop being a dead zone | The flank faces throw light onto the outer canopy of neighbouring plants: the bud sites that straight-down bars leave shaded. In tight multi-row layouts, that is a meaningful share of total yield surface. |
| 📏 One bar does the work of two planes | Where a straight-down plan needs a second row of bars angled at the aisle, a 3-sided bar covers the aisle from the row it is already mounted in: fewer fixtures, fewer drops, less hardware under the bench. |
| 🔩 Both lengths, matched to the row | Available in 4Ft and 8Ft builds so the bar matches the row, not the other way around. |
| 🌱 Downward output, unchanged | Light is redirected, not lost: total photon flux stays the same, and the canopy directly below the bar keeps its full allocation. |
| 🧩 Same platform as the range | Deep-red spectrum, 0–10V dimming and RJ12 daisy chain are identical to the rest of the range: the 3-sided model slots into the same control layer and controller as your other SLTMAKS fixtures. |
| 🧰 OEM/ODM and mix-and-match | Spectrum, PPFD target, logo, LED brand, housing colour, driver, style and design are all configurable, and 3-sided bars mix cleanly with Basic, Glass Cover or 270° bars in one room. |
Deep-red enriched full spectrum across all three emitting faces. Customizable per crop protocol.
This under canopy led grow light runs a full spectrum with deep red output. Deep red drives flower development where this fixture redirects it: the row flanks and the canopy below. Side bud sites sit in light that has already been filtered by the cannabis canopy above and is naturally depleted in red, so the flank faces carry the same deep-red recipe the downward face does, and outer-canopy tissue gets the spectral treatment it is normally denied.
Under OEM/ODM the spectrum can be tuned to your crop protocol, so 3-sided bars and the straight-down styles they mix with can be ordered to one tuned recipe, keeping a single spectral language across a mixed room.
We do not publish a generic spectral power distribution curve, because published curves are catalogue graphics rather than a measurement of this fixture. A measured spectral report for your configuration is available on request and ships with the order.
Values are the series range across the 3-sided builds. Efficacy is verified per production batch on our in-house integrating sphere; the test report ships with the order.

| Where the 3-sided model fits | |
|---|---|
| 🛒 Tight multi-row layouts | Close rows shade each other's outer canopy: the flank faces light exactly those bud sites without a second fixture row. |
| 🌱 Aisle-adjacent planting | Rows bordering walkways lose their outer canopy to shadow; the 3-sided bar covers the aisle from where it already hangs. |
| 🌿 Wide pots and tall plants | Outer bud sites on the sides of tall plants get direct light from the flank faces, where a straight-down bar delivers nothing. |
| 🔁 Mixed rooms | Run 3-sided bars on aisle rows and Basic or Glass Cover bars under canopy centres, all on one RJ12 control chain. |
| 🏗️ Retrofits and upgrades | The under-canopy layer is planned around your existing top light, so upgrading does not touch the top-light estate. |
At full output on a 12/12 flowering photoperiod, a 300W 8Ft build draws about 3.6 kWh per day and a 120W 4Ft build about 1.44 kWh. Dimming brings that down further, and the exact draw of your configuration is confirmed in the test report that ships with each order.
Send your row layout and target lower-canopy PPFD, we reply with a bar count, a coverage comparison and a configured quotation.
Bar spacing depends on row width, aisle width and canopy density: a generic table would mislead. Send your room and we return a layout with stated assumptions.
Row length, aisle width, pot configuration: the 3-sided choice usually wins where aisles are tight and flanks matter.
Fixture count and wattage: under-canopy bars are planned around your existing top light, not instead of it.
You get a bar count, a 4Ft or 8Ft recommendation, wattage per bar, and estimated lower-canopy PPFD with stated assumptions.
Configured pricing, warranty term and lead time, confirmed per order configuration.
